-RR will partner with communities and organizations to identify unemployed or underemployed individuals, like veterans, who want the opportunity to own a business.
– We’ll train these aspiring entrepreneurs to run their own for-profit plastic reuse businesses as part of a unique modified franchise system.
– Franchise fees will be used by the non-profit hub to maintain and update our technology, to negotiate contracts with government and businesses, and to create start-ups in other communities.
The REII Reuse Revolution program is designed to scale rapidly and generate financial, social and environmental results quickly. We will employ a business model called a “modified franchise” in which we provide a loan, in the form of machines, training, technical supports and start-up capital, to the local entrepreneurs with a contractual obligation that the entrepreneurs will pay money back to the non-profit as a “franchisee” thus allowing us to provide service and support to other social entrepreneurs and to further expand JAWBs. In this way, we can facilitate a rapid roll-out and scaling of Reuse Revolution nationwide.
